The origins of Samako
How it starts
Founder Boet decides it’s time for a breath of fresh air in the world of cleaning. After all, good appliances are expensive, and affordable appliances aren’t very attractive. He starts selling what he would want to have in his own home: luxurious, versatile cleaning appliances at a fair price. Determined to make his parents, Maaike & Co, proud, he chooses the name Samako as a tribute to them.
Growing is a process of trial and error
Samako is growing rapidly, but Boet discovers that this comes at a price. Before long, everything revolves around numbers, headaches are a fixed part of the day, and there is hardly any time left for friends. Where have the intention and enjoyment with which he started gone? He reflects and experiments; “fall forward” becomes his motto. Small things make a big difference, such as a tidy home and a calm start to the day.

Through his own experience, Boet realized that taking good care of yourself starts with a pleasant environment. Since then, Samako has been built around that philosophy. Appliances without unnecessary buttons, not only leaving your home clean but also making it smell wonderful, a Sunday reset that lets you start your new week feeling calm & in control. You probably recognize it; cleaning isn’t necessarily fun, but the peace afterward can do you a world of good.
