Founder Boet decides it’s time for a breath of fresh air in the world of cleaning. After all, good appliances are expensive, and affordable appliances aren’t very attractive. He starts selling what he would want to have in his own home: luxurious, versatile cleaning appliances at a fair price. Determined to make his parents, Maaike & Co, proud, he chooses the name Samako as a tribute to them.

Samako is growing rapidly, but Boet discovers that this comes at a price. Before long, everything revolves around numbers, headaches are a fixed part of the day, and there is hardly any time left for friends. Where have the intention and enjoyment with which he started gone? He reflects and experiments; “fall forward” becomes his motto. Small things make a big difference, such as a tidy home and a calm start to the day.

Boet’s experience shaped Samako’s philosophy: looking after yourself starts with a pleasant environment. Appliances without unnecessary buttons, a home that looks and smells clean, and a Sunday reset that leaves you calm & in control. Cleaning may not always be fun, but the calm afterwards can make it worthwhile.
